Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will.
--George Bernard Shaw

Some of the most important work in prevention is to exercise our imagination. This space is designed for sharing your thoughts, ideas and concepts -- a kind of incubator that taps into and amplifies our imagination, questions our assumptions and nudges our collective thinking and action. Edit, add and refine as you wish.

  • When is an initiative no longer an initiative? How does the concept of "communities of practice" fit?

  • What would be included in a set of sustainability indicators for prevention?

  • What do services that build capacity look like?

The Incubator

What does it look like to have a mix of single, double and triple loop learning simultaneously happening in an organization? What if learning, studying and networking were part of our job description? What activity or inactivity would we describe, see, benefit from?
What would it be like to have open, self-organizing developmental processes (e.g., wiki based) rather than tightly controlled, in-house processes? Advantages, differences?
If emergence is how Life creates radical change and takes things to scale, what meaning lies within these principles and characteritics that inform and influence our practice of prevention?
When is a website not a website but a social network?
